I hope you enjoyed reading Townie intern Calleigh’s insights into attending events in Oneonta! This weekend offers more opportunities to get out and about in our vibrant community.
Tonight, Foothills will screen Cannabis + Creativity, a documentary and fundraiser for Film Otsego. After the screening, head up the block to the Oak for local rock band Jump the Shark, joined by NYC-based alternative prog-rock group the Phoenix Within.
Saturday features folk singer Reggie Harris in a Songs of Hope and Freedom concert at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Oneonta, raising funds for Youchaou’s School in Mali, West Africa. Arrive early to browse a Mali market of handmade crafts and jewelry.
Sunday brings the first-ever SINGO event to Muddy River, hosted by Kalil Jade—think music-themed BINGO with a twist. Also on Sunday: a free performance at the Walton Theatre, and acoustic sets from Brodie Coleman and Yana King at The Gatehouse in Morris.
